That is why we buddy tree planting with all of our carbon offsets.
We have a great passion for tree planting and believe that they provide considerable wider benefit to society, communities and the environment.
Tree Buddying
For every tonne of carbon offset, we commit to planting a tree.
This tree buddying is separate to any carbon offsetting. Whilst it is possible to procure carbon offsets through tree planting projects, they need to be from verified carbon offset schemes to claim the amount of carbon offset.
Despite this, there is a considerable benefit of tree planting.
Benefits of Planting Trees
The benefits of tree planting are considerable. Our chosen tree planting partner, has the objectives to:
- Restore native forests
- Provide food for villagers, shelter for wildlife, shade, medicines, soil regeneration and climate regulation through a village wide tree planting program
- Lift people out of extreme poverty
Our chosen tree planting partner, plants trees in locations such as Madagascar, Haiti, Nepal, Indonesia, and Mozambique. These are all nations that have been ravished by deforestation.
Trees provide a habitat for animals, purify water sources, control flooding and erosion and help to replenish the soil with nutrients needed for farming.
