Offset My Life

Offset My Life was created to bring affordable and credible carbon offsets to the marketplace. We only use carbon offsets from well respected schemes.

However, we don’t stop there. We also wanted to provide more than just a carbon offset service:

  • For each tonne of CO2 offset, we will plant a tree – this is in addition to the carbon offsets
  • We also divert 10% of the net profit from our carbon offsets to good causes
  • You will be given the option to add your company profile to our website, displaying your commitment to the environment

Carbon Offset Schemes

We use carbon offsets, also know as carbon credits, only from the highest quality offset schemes. These include:

For businesses we typically recommend the Gold Standard, VCS or Plan Vivo for high quality carbon offsetting.

These schemes all require that credits are:

  • Additional
  • Verifiable
  • Traceable

This provides the level of assurance and credibility that businesses need for their carbon offsets.

Offset Projects

Carbon offset credits can be procured to match your desired project types and location. Types of projects include 

  • Renewable – typically the cheapest offsets available. This includes projects such as wind, solar, hyrdo
  • Biogas / biomass
  • Forestry
  • Efficient cookstoves
  • Clean water access

Tree Planting

Offset My Life is an initiative from Circular Ecology Ltd. We operate on a tree buddying basis. For each tonne CO2 offset through Offset My Life, we will plant a tree.

This is not counted as part of the carbon emission offset, it is an additional and separate benefit. We are passionate about helping the environment and tree planting bring so many wider benefits.

Our chosen tree planting partner, Eden Reforestation Projects, plants trees in locations such as Madagascar, Haiti, Nepal, Indonesia, and Mozambique. These are all nations that have been ravished by deforestation.

Trees provide a habitat for animals, purify water sources, control flooding and erosion and help to replenish the soil with nutrients needed for farming.

In fact, we divert 10% of the net profit from Offset My Life to good causes.
